Sabarimala is a renowned pilgrimage site in Kerala, India, dedicated to Lord Ayyappa, a deity worshipped primarily by Hindu devotees. Nestled in the Western Ghats, it attracts millions of pilgrims each year, especially during the Mandala season, which lasts from mid-November to mid-January. The temple is famous for its strict rituals and unique customs, including a mandatory 41-day fasting period for devotees. Sabarimala is also notable for its gender-specific entry rules, which have sparked significant legal and social debates in recent years. The site is not only a religious focal point but also a symbol of diverse cultural practices in India.

Applications are invited from Hindu men who are interested to work as daily wage laborers at Sabarimala in connection with the Mandala-Makaravilak Mahotsava in the year 1200 (2024-25).  Applicants should be between 18 to 65 years of age.

A passport size photograph taken within six months and a certificate from a local police officer not below the rank of sub-inspector to prove that he is not involved in criminal cases.  Certificate to prove age and religion.  Copy of Aadhaar Card, Mobile / Phone Number, Medical Fitness Certificate, Complete Address,

 of Travancore Devaswom Board along with bank account details in this office and on notice boards in various group offices of Devaswom Board.

Also on the website www.travancoredevaswomboard.org.  Applications in the prescribed format affixed with Devaswom stamp of Rs.10 should be made available before 30.09.2024 at 5 PM at Chief Engineer, Travancore Devaswom Board, Nantankode, Thiruvananthapuram 695003.  Original Police Verification Certificate, Medical Certificate and attested copies of other certificates should be submitted along with the application.
